En la carrera hacia el soporte de tecnologías NoSQL, Grails comienza a destacar claramente sobre el resto de sus competidores, y una nueva prueba es la adición de una nueva opción: MapReduce de Riak, a las ya existentes: Gemfire, JCR, MongoDB, Redis y Cassandra.
